It appears I used up all my free picture storage, so I shifted all the posts that were on “The Owl Underground” to “The Owl Underground Archive II.” If you’re looking for a recent previous post, you’ll find it there. Have a little patience while I reinvent the wheel and get everything all sorted out again.
I renamed that iteration of the blog and changed the URL so that I could keep the main “The Owl Underground” URL as the “leading edge” of the blog and nobody will have to change their links (I hope!).
Not exactly what I wanted to spend most of the morning doing, but there it is.
I’ve subscribed to this blog now. For what it’s worth, you can use thisblog for images and cross post them to your old blog. Or host the images on something like Flickr and post them to your blog from there. There’s absolutely no need to use the WordPress dot com media library for images. 🙂

PS. The reason you keep running out of space is because (as far as I can see) you’re posting your images at their full size. If you do what the majority of bloggers do (I’ve been blogging since 2004, though not all of those years on this site and have never needed on any of my blogs – most of which were to do with art – to change to a new blog) and resize your images before posting them – and before putting them in the media library – you’ll not only save space and not need to keep making new blogs, but you’ll help your readers too as smaller file sizes enable the page to load more quickly. Have a look at Justjennifer’s comment in this forum thread: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/i-have-ran-out-of-photo-space?replies=3 and this support page that she links to in, it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/media/image-optimization/
I hope that helps as it must be very frustrating to have to keep making new blogs when you run out of space.
